These abstract photographs are a combination of slow shutter speeds and close up texture images. Most of the slow shutter images were taken while onboard ships on various European rivers (Rhine, Elba, Duero, Danube, etc) and focusing on the shore for 10 seconds or more. By moving along the river, the shore blends together as a solid color mixture creating the stripe effect. Other long exposures are the bricks under bridges throughout the Venice Canals in Italy.
