Theatre has been a huge part of my life for over 20 years. I originally moved to Chicago to be an improviser, and I spent time all over the city trying to take part any way I could. On stage, back stage, writing, directing. I worked as a facilities manager for ten years which had me painting and building sets, maintaining customer experiences, hanging lights, running cables. I can honestly say there is no job I haven’t done in a theater. And I loved it.

It was my failure in theatre that pushed me back to photography. I started to experience stage fright and I found myself freezing on stage. Not wanting to lose my community I started photographing performances and performers. And that’s led to wonderful relationships that have lasted more than half my life time. Below are just a few companies I’ve been able to work with in different capacities.

*I did eventually get back on stage and overcome my stage fright. But behind the camera is where I have the most to offer theatre companies. And that’s where I find myself putting my passion.
